Chuck Whitmer was co-founder of Dynamical Systems Research, Inc. with Dr. Nathan Myhrvold. He led the software development team in developing a multitasking windowing system for PC’s. After DSR, Inc. was acquired by Microsoft, Dr. Whitmer managed the Graphics Interface Group for the development of OS/2 and later Windows NT. He also designed the entire graphics subsystems for Windows NT and has provided software development consulting overseas. Dr. Whitmer attended the University of Chicago, receiving a B.A. in Mathematics and an MS in Physics, sharing the Telegdi Prize for highest score on the Physics Ph.D. candidacy exam. He also received a Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton University and authored several physics publications while attending the University of Chicago and Princeton. He is named as an inventor on one issued patent. |
